Xiangliang Wan, born in 1983, is a doctor and an associate professor of Wuhan University of Science and Technology (WUST). He received his bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees from the WUST. In addition, he has been an exchange student at Ibaraki University in Japan, a postdoctoral fellow at the WUST, a postdoctoral fellow at the School of Engineering of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, a postdoctoral fellow in materials and metallurgical engineering at the University of Texas at El Paso, and a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Metal Materials at Tohoku University. Besides, he is currently working at the School of Materials and Metallurgy of the WUST.

His main research interests include oxide metallurgy and austenitic steel strengthening and toughening. And he has presided over the projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Fund and the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation (first class). Moreover, he also published 55 related academic papers (including 43 articles by SCI) which have been cited 375 times with the single citations up to 53 times and the h-Index of 11; and one granted patent.

 

Feng Liang, born in 1984, is a doctor and an associate professor at the WUST. And he received his bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees from the WUST in 2007, 2010 and 2013 respectively. Since 2013, he has worked in the School of Materials and Metallurgy of the WUST.

His main research interests include refractory materials for new steel metallurgy, new thermal insulation refractories, low temperature green synthesis of high temperature ceramic materials and the advanced functional materials. In addition, he has chaired one project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one project of the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation (first class) and one horizontal project. And he was funded by the National Postdoctoral International Exchange Program and went to the University of Tokyo to conduct academic exchanges. He also participated in the Outstanding Young and Middle-aged Science and Technology Innovation Team Project of Hubei Province, the project of the Natural Science Foundation of Hubei Province and the Interdisciplinary Innovation Team of the WUST. Besides, he has published 46 academic papers, 10 of which were searched by SCI and 5 were searched by EI. And he also applied 2 patents and authorized 12 invention patents.
